Stopping Global Warming Through the Utilization of Hemp

It is a shame that hemp is criminalized and demonized to such a large extent, despite the fact it is the most amazing plant in the world. What else can be used in over two thousand different products, as well as singlehandedly save the world.

One of the things that hemp can be applied to is reversing global warming. How can a simple plant achieve such a lofty goal, one that affects the entire planet? In order for hemp to have this effect, it must be used on a global scale.

Hemp can help stop this mainly through its growth. The hemp plant grows in quantities like no other plant, at extremely fast rates. You can grow almost four tons of hemp per acre, and to get this much, a lot of carbon dioxide must be taken from the atmosphere to fuel this growth.

Hemp is a great crop to put into crop rotation, because unlike the majority of other crops, hemp rejuvenates the soil it grows in. It does this by depositing the CO2 into the soil.

Once hemp is grown, it is not like you have a bunch of useless material lying around whose sole purpose was carbon dioxide extraction. Hemp can be made into thousands of products, and the processing of hemp is a green activity in itself.

It is stunning to realize how amazing hemp is, yet it is still illegal. Is the human race really trying to kill itself? That is what it appears, being we have a truly miraculous resource almost literally right at our feet, and instead of embracing it, we destroy it. What kind of policy is that?
